About the Marathon

Running a marathon is not an event, it is a way of life.

The CT Half Marathon, a Race for Charity, was conceived with the vision & foresight of S. Charanjit Singh Channi ( Chairman, CT Group of Institutions ) to promote healthiness, robustness & fitness awareness. Since 2007, we've built a proud legacy of marathons that inspire action and change. Alongwith this race for a humanitarian cause, CT Group of Institutions raises funds for the organizations that work for the deprived & under privileged members of the society such as Pingalwara, Unique Home and other social upliftment Non Government Organizations. This laudable noble endeavour also encourages the physically challenged students or children like PRAYAS ( A School for Special students ) to participate in the race. CT Group of Institutions donates more than Rs. 5 lakh to the needy and deprived sections of society every year. Besides, the top 3 winners of CT Half Marathon are also conferred with Rs 21,000/- , Rs 11,000/- and Rs 5,100/- for both male and female positions, respectively.

RACE INFORMATION

GUIDELINES FOR HALF MARATHON

Challenge yourself with 21 km or 7 km, racing toward a healthier, sustainable future. starting from CT, Shahpur to the CT Maqsudan Campus. The course for the Half Marathon is as per the enclosed route plan. Athletes Bagging top three positions would be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-, Rs.11,000/- and Rs. 5,100/- respectively, while the next seven position holders ( in both men & women category ) would be awarded consolation prizes of Rs. 2,100/- each. There is no separate category of participation such as Old Age, Under 19, and Under 21 etc. In case of accidents, illness or loss of personal property, liability of the organizer is limited to emergency treatment only.

Copyright of images, photographs and articles covering the event, and their usage rights for TV broadcasting, newspapers, magazines and internet, belong to the race organizer. The athletes should stick to the clothing best suited for the event. Any clothing meant for political advertising, religious purposes and anything which could hurt the sentiments of others is not allowed. The event will comply with all domestic laws and regulations. In addition to the aforementioned Terms and Conditions, the event will adhere to all race rules & regulations.
